Sessions are performed by Dr. Misty Funk, DC—an expert level myofascial therapist with 19 years of experience. Treatments are performed in a relaxed healing, spa-like environment. Sessions include chiropractic care and targeted, therapeutic massage meticulously tailored to meet your needs. Feel free to choose an essential oil of your choice and communicate if you’d like to opt out of chiropractic manipulation.
Longer treatment times are offered at my office because therapeutic massage requires more than your average massage. After the initial visit, most patients opt for a treatment plan which consists of four to six visits—once a week for four to six weeks—depending on the condition they are trying to resolve. Feel free to book a one-off session or incorporate myofascial massage into your monthly selfcare routine.

Before You Book:
I am a cash-based healthcare provider, and payment will be collected at the end of each session.
In order to provide you with the highest quality service, I practice out-of-network (meaning I do not accept health insurance). You are welcome to file on your own behalf by simply requesting a statement of services. I will forewarn you that most patients find this process tedious and never receive reimbursement from their insurance providers. Expect to pay fully out-of-pocket for care!
Payment Options: Cash, Zelle or Venmo
HSA Patients: You’re welcome to use HSA money to pay for care, however, I do not have an HSA compliant credit card reader. You will need to pay out of pocket for care and reimburse yourself. I am happy to provide a financial statement for your records upon request.
I do not accept FSA payments.

My Cancellation Policy:
I work one-on-one with every patient and maintain a strict cancellation policy.
You have complete flexibility to cancel or reschedule your session up to 24-hours before your scheduled appointment. To do so, simply visit the email you receive upon booking and click, Cancel My Appointment. You will then be redirected to book a new time.
If you’re unable to make your scheduled session or cancel with less than a 24-hour notice, you will incur the full cost of the service.
For emergencies or scheduling challenges, please call 512-333-4435.❦

What To Expect When You Book:
On your first visit you will receive a review of your health history, a simple examination and treatment. I do not provide comprehensive spinal workups—x-rays, spinal alignment measurements, analysis of your biomechanics, gait analysis or a detailed report of findings. Instead sessions are designed to spend the majority of our time focused on your treatment needs.

Are You A Good Fit For Care?
It is important to understand what therapeutic myofascial release massage can and cannot accomplish. My work is designed to combat myofascial tension, muscular tightness and pain. It’s helpful in the treatment of tension headaches, neck, mid and lower back pain—even TMJ issues.
For those with degenerative joint disease, degenerative disc disease, a disc herniation, or spinal nerve impingement, my work will not be curative. Myofascial support is most effective when combined with other direct therapeutic approaches: physical therapy, spinal decompression, corticosteroid injections, and/or modalities suggested by your healthcare provider. If your primary concern is to prevent further spinal deterioration, myofascial massage can be highly beneficial. Supporting and reducing strain on your myofascial system will slow the degenerative changes that affect your vertebrae, discs, and nerve tissues.
For those with rotator cuff tears, shoulder impingement, or knee problems—results vary depending on the nature of injury. You’ll get the best results when you partner myofascial massage with other appropriate modalities directly affecting your problem areas.
I am unable to treat the abdominal, inguinal, pelvic floor areas—or venture anywhere near your private parts. These areas are not in my scope of practice. Please consider a pelvic floor physical therapist. Many are trained in manual therapy (which myofascial release falls under), and you’ll see best results under their care.
I do not accept workman’s comp, motor vehicle accident, or slip-and-fall patients. My office is not set up to handle these cases.
Please contact me if you have questions about your particular concern.
I look forward to working with you!
